Birds seen feeding in our garden in Dalry this year (2010) We replenish the bird food daily and include meal worms, fatballs, crushed peanuts, dried fruit and seeds and grain and small buscuit dog food (the blackbirds and thrushes love them). We have a variety of feeders (bought and home made), 6 hanging seed feeders, 3 hanging peanut feeders, 3 ground feeders (these are wire cages placed up-side-down to prevent the neighbours cats from eating the feed and the birds), a number of locations around the garden with fat balls strung up and on the ground. We also save sycamore seed from our tree in the autumn to put out for the bullfinches in winter.
